take care: wear longer, last longer
love your pieces for longer
At Oh Polly, we design our pieces to stand out. From delicate mesh and sleek satin to our signature embellished designs, how you care for your garments after the party plays the biggest role in keeping them moving.
handling & returns
Repackage with care: Please handle and pack returned items carefully.
Keep it pristine:To meet hygiene and safety standards, returns must be unworn, undamaged, and free from makeup, pet hair, deodorant, or perfume.
Keep tags attached: Only remove original tags and ribbons once you are sure you are keeping the item.
Try on carefully: We recommend removing jewelry first to avoid snagging delicate fabrics, and trying pieces on without makeup.

top tips for keeping items in circulation
Wash your garments at 30°C or below. High temperatures can cause delicate fabrics like satins and georgettes to shrink, fade, or lose their soft texture over time. Washing at cooler temperatures protects your favourite silhouettes while reducing your household energy use.
Our hotfix rhinestones has a high-quality glue pre-applied on their back, when heated to 171°C (340°F) for 40 seconds, it creates a strong bond for the hotfix rhinestones to be attached to the fabric. It is recommended to do a small test on a similar fabric first. How to apply hotfix rhinestone with regular household iron
1. For optimal results please pre heat your iron to 171°C (340°F) or cotton/ high temperature.
2. Place the rhinestone in position on your garment. You may find it helpful to use tweezers for precision.
3. To protect your iron, garment and surrounding materials we advise to sandwich the hotfix and garment between baking paper while ironing. This will help protect both the rhinestone and the garment.
4. Press the iron onto the rhinestone through the baking paper for about 40 seconds. Ensure to apply firm, even pressure and do not move the iron to prevent the rhinestone to move away from the correct position.
5. Remove the iron and let the rhinestone cool down before checking its attachment.
Tips for applying and after care:
• Ensure the area you're applying the rhinestone to is flat and smooth.
• Empty the water in your iron, no steam is needed when applying as it can affect the glue’s effectiveness.
• Do not apply heat for more than 45 seconds
• After applying the rhinestone, let the garment rest for at least 24 hours to set completely before wearing or washing.
• Follow the original wash care label of the garment
Avoid using fabric softeners on delicate, smooth, or embellished fabrics. Softeners can leave a microscopic residue that dulls the signature sheen of satins, weakens fine knitwear, and can break down the adhesives holding premium embellishments. Stick to mild liquid detergent to keep your pieces looking pristine.
Ditch the tumble dryer entirely. The intense heat, spinning, and friction can warp tailored structures, crease delicate fabrics heavily, and damage intricate embellishments or hardware. Hang your pieces to air dry naturally instead, and always dry heavy knitwear flat.
Always turn your garments inside out before washing to protect the outer fabric surface from friction. Pop delicate items, mesh styles, and embellished pieces into a mesh wash bag to prevent hardware, hooks, or zippers from catching on fine threads during the cycle.
